In future its probably going to be based on Argument flag in LivelyInfo.json ( -system-audio, -system-nowplaying etc) In add wallpaper page file browser there is an option for "Website Audio (*html)" which turns on audio processing. Its because you need to tell lively to turn on audio processing, when you drag and drop a html file lively assumes its a regular webpage so won't run it. even external program like Unity games etc.) The preview is just the wallpaper application window itself being injected into lively window before sending to desktop as wallpaper (that's why it works across everything.
